VIG Re is seeking a Business Applications Manager to drive excellence in our operations. In this role, you'll define team guidelines, maintain core application stability, and deliver impactful RPA projects. Your tasks
Business Applications Manager leads the development, management, and optimization of business applications to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business needs. The role is responsible for developing business application strategies, oversees change management, quality assurance, release management, and RPA development while maintaining stability and efficiency across systems. Building strong vendor relationships, driving process improvements, and fostering team development are central to success. The manager acts as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring solutions are well-integrated, innovative, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and grow a team of IT and Business Analysts, Solution Architect, User Support Specialists, SW & RPA Developers, QA specialists. Guide the potential restructuring of the team into specialized subteams. Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Change and Process Management: Oversee change management and user support, ensuring seamless system changes without direct help desk involvement. Implement process improvements to optimize system operations.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Develop and execute holistic testing strategies to maintain application stability and reliability. Ensure the prevention of errors through proactive quality assurance. Implement automated testing where possible.
- Release Management: Manage the release cycle of business applications, ensuring efficient deployment with minimal disruption.
- RPA Development and Innovation: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of RPA solutions to optimize and automate business processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the main liaison between business units and IT, translating business needs into technical solutions.

- Proficient in advanced system analysis techniques and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent collaboration and networking skills, capable of building partnerships and interacting constructively with diverse teams.
- Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Adept in stakeholder management, with excellent communication skills to effectively align and motivate towards common goals.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proactive approach to proposing and implementing innovative solutions, initiative-taking and persevering personality.
- Up to date with trends and emerging technologies in business applications and IT.
- University degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong system architecture, SAP customization, and business application expertise.
- Process and project management skills.
- Expertise in quality assurance and holistic testing strategies.
- Proven experience in managing business application teams.
- Certification in project management, quality assurance, or similar disciplines is a plus.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
