Your tasks
- Lead the global risk management function (second line of defence) in a well-established, A+ rated reinsurer
- Shape and execute the enterprise risk strategy, including risk appetite, governance frameworks, and ORSA
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Board and senior leadership on risk, capital and strategic decisions
- Drive forward-looking risk insights, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and ESG-related risks
- Partner closely with underwriting, investments, and operations to enable risk-informed decision-making
- Represent VIG Re in interactions with regulators and rating agencies (e.g., CNB, EIOPA, S&P, AM Best)
- Lead and develop a high-performing international risk team
What we expect
- 10+ years of experience in (re)insurance risk management, ideally within a Solvency II environment
- Strong expertise across underwriting, market, credit, and operational risks
- Proven experience with ORSA, internal models, and capital management
- Strong regulatory knowledge and experience dealing with supervisory authorities and rating agencies
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance risk, innovation, and business growth
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills in an international setting
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and developing teams
- Master’s degree in a relevant field; professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, Actuarial) are a plus
- Business fluency in English
