We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join our small, enthusiastic compliance team that provides cross-functional support across the company. This role is suitable for candidates at various stages of their careers — whether you're starting out and eager to grow, or bringing prior experience and looking for a hands-on, cross-functional compliance position in a dynamic environment.
In this position, you'll support the company’s compliance with key regulations, including international sanctions, financial services regulation, conflicts of interest, data protection, and whistleblowing. You’ll also be involved in training development, IT system use, and basic legal analysis. If you're analytically minded, tech-savvy, and eager to learn about global regulatory frameworks, this is a great opportunity to grow your career and become acquainted with compliance practices in a dynamic international environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Sanctions Monitoring & Compliance Support: Monitor changes in international sanctions regimes (mainly EU, US, UK), support internal assessments of their impact, and assist in implementing appropriate compliance measures.
- Legal Analysis - Sanctions Risk Exposure: Perform basic legal and regulatory analysis, including reviewing and interpreting contractual clauses to assess exposure to sanctions risk. Support senior compliance staff in evaluating alignment with regulatory expectations.
- IT System Use: Work with internal compliance and risk management tools to assist with due diligence, documentation management, and tracking of compliance activities.
- Compliance Reporting & Documentation: Assist in drafting internal compliance reports, maintaining documentation, and responding to group and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Training and Corporate Report Content Development and Coordination: Create clear and engaging presentations for internal compliance training (e.g., for newcomers, refreshers, or specific departments) and support the preparation of compliance reports for the Board of Management and group-level oversight bodies. Help schedule and track internal compliance training sessions, maintain attendance records, and support logistics and communication across departments.
- Due Diligence & Screening: Support the onboarding and monitoring of clients and business partners by conducting basic sanctions screening and helping to maintain up-to-date records and files.
- Policy & Process Support: Assist in the review and update of compliance policies and procedures. Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement efforts.
