Data & Analytics Manager

Your tasks

The Data & Analytics Manager leads the strategy and direction of the Data & Analytics team, ensuring alignment with business goals. This role oversees the overall performance of the team and fosters a collaborative and efficient working environment with advanced technological integration. The manager plays a critical role in driving excellence across the entire data lifecycle, including governance, quality, analytics, and platform management. Expertise in advanced analytics, AI, and predictive modeling is key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic management: Set the vision and strategic direction for the Data & Analytics team. Align data initiatives with overall business objectives. Oversee the performance and continuous improvement of data area.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, grow, and develop a multidisciplinary team. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture, ensuring team alignment with business units and their requirements, fostering an environment of continuous learning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and business units to identify and deliver data-driven solutions. Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes effectively across departments. Ensure customer centricity.
• Technical Oversight: Drive the adoption of advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics. Provide strong technical guidance and ensure excellence in data governance, data quality, data architecture, and platform optimization. 
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and standards. Maintain high standards of data security and integrity.

Our expectations

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field.
• A solid understanding of the insurance industry (a reinsurance knowledge is a plus)
• Advanced technical expertise in SQL, Python, and PowerBI.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, visualization and reporting.
• Professional certification in Data Privacy or Data Management (DAMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading data and analytics teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning applications.
• Experience with Azure data platforms.
• Advanced certification in data governance, cloud infrastructure, or predictive analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in articulating complex technical concepts. Excellent collaboration and networking skills, capable of building partnerships and interacting constructively with diverse teams.
• Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
• Commitment to high-quality standards with a meticulous approach to work and an aptitude for proposing innovative solutions to achieve objectives.
• Ability to function as a bridge between business and IT 
• Initiative-taking and persevering personality.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
