We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Vendor/Cost Manager to enhance our technology partnerships and drive financial effectiveness within our IT operations in VIG Re. In this pivotal role, you will not only oversee and manage relationships with our technology vendors but also have the opportunity to influence strategic vendor selection, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs that align with our company's objectives.
Your tasks
- Take full ownership of administering and continuously enhancing IT vendor management, ensuring efficient processes and alignment with company objectives.
- Lead regulatory initiatives, monitor compliance with key frameworks (DORA, third party risk management, etc.), and actively manage the development of internal policies, documentation, and training programs.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing vendor relationships and contracts, close collaboration and cooperation with internal stakeholders, compliance and legal to ensure smooth contract creation, amendments and negotiation for new IT agreements.
- Oversee the financial aspects of IT contracts, including managing timesheet approvals from vendors, allocating and processing invoices, ensuring invoices align with contract terms and deliverables, and preparing accurate budgets.
- Cost management, including managing budgets, forecasting cost, preparing detailed financial reports for management. Analyzes spending to identify cost-saving opportunities, monitors project costs.
- Collaboration on projects, including initiatives that promote sustainability within the IT department, fostering innovation and driving positive change.
Our expectations
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT controlling, IT procurement or similar field
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, business and law, Information Technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of IT and data management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Team player, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Business-fluent spoken and written English
