Project Management Professional

Czech Republic Full-time

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Management Professional to join our growing Corporate Development Department and to team-up to shape the future development of VIG Re. In this central role, you will support the development and execute the project portfolio management function, establishing and delivering reporting on our project portfolio, as well as operating a central project management office. You will support and form the build-up of our Project Management Community and help the organization to continuously improve its project management capabilities.

Your responsibilities

Project Portfolio Management / Central PMO (~50% of time)

Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

Support the development of a PPM function for VIG Re that aligns projects with strategic goals and priorities. Run its day-today operation, including Project prioritization based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and potential ROI.
Monitor and control the performance and progress of projects within the portfolio, including tracking their resources- and risk management. Report status and KPI development to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio-related matters, facilitating communication between project teams, senior leadership, and other VIG Re stakeholders à management of “Project Committee“, jointly with Chief Strategy Officer

Project Management Office (PMO)

Run and improve a central PMO function to standardize and constantly improve project management by providing tools, templates, processes, and methodologies across the organization.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to project managers and teams to continuously enhance PM capabilities and drive project success.

Project Management (~50% of time)

Act as Project Manager on VIG Re projects that may range from strategic-, over business-, to IT-focus.
Take over full project responsibility, i.e. project planning, -management/execution and -closing. Incl. Scope-, resources-/budget-, time-, risk-, change management, etc.

What we are looking for

Educational Background: University degree, preferably in economics, business administration, or a similar field. PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Experience: Relevant experience of 3-5 years in a project management function or at a consulting firm. Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is beneficial.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Proven skills and experience in managing projects involving internal and external stakeholders. Very strong communication, intercultural-, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority, including leadership.
Analytical skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to evaluate portfolio performance and make informed decisions.
Motivation: Highly motivated and persevering personality.
Communication and independence: Business fluency in both spoken and written English. Experience working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
