Senior Business Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Business Data Team. This role combines hands-on analytical and reporting work with improvement of reporting governance, data quality, and business data reliability across the organization.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, reporting teams, and data engineers to deliver trusted reporting, investigate inconsistencies, improve analytical processes, and help shape sustainable reporting and BI governance practices.

This is a senior hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex analytical problems, understanding business processes in depth, and improving the overall quality and trustworthiness of reporting and data environments.

What You Can Expect

Design and improve reporting, analytical, and BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and related technologies.
Work with business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.
Investigate data quality issues, reporting inconsistencies, reconciliation breaks, and root causes across multiple systems.
Shape reporting standards, KPI definitions, semantic models, and governance practices.
Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams on data models, reporting architecture, and analytical requirements.
Influence the future direction of reporting, analytics, and data management within the company.
Work with modern technologies including Power BI, Databricks, Fabric, and Dawiso.
Take ownership of initiatives with a high degree of autonomy and visibility.

What We Expect

At least 7 years of hands-on experience in BI, Analytics, Reporting, Data Management, or related disciplines.
Strong practical experience with SQL, Power BI, semantic models, and analytical problem solving.
Experience delivering end-to-end reporting and analytical solutions.
Understanding of data modelling, reporting architectures, data warehouses, and analytical ecosystems.
Ability to investigate complex reporting, reconciliation, and data quality issues across multiple systems.
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Experience with Databricks, Fabric, metadata management, data governance, or data quality concepts is an advantage.
Experience in insurance, reinsurance, finance, or another complex data-intensive environment is preferred.
Fluent English.
