We are looking for a highly skilled Property/Engineering Claims Expert to join our dynamic Claims department. Your tasks
- Independently Manage Claims: Take ownership of claims and tackle non-standard cases with agility, collaborating with stakeholders and resolving conflicts alongside our Legal team.
- Make Strategic Decisions: Navigate complex claims matters in Property & Engineering, fully understanding their implications on a broader scale.
- Autonomous Processing: Efficiently manage loss notifications, cash calls, and claims assessments to meet our internal standards.
- Data Accuracy: Input data timely and ensure precision for your assigned markets, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Engage and Contribute: Actively participate in market meetings and provide valuable insights to management.
- Drive Innovation: Lead process improvement initiatives, including automating tasks to streamline operations.
- Management: Lead a small team of dynamic colleagues to succeed in the environment of VIG Re’s challenging goals
- Mentorship and Training: Write and propose work instructions, train colleagues, and support them through complex claim processes.
- Regular Updates: Keep stakeholders informed with accurate and timely updates.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with internal teams like Underwriters, Reinsurance Accounting, and IT Services, while also engaging with external clients and service providers.
Our expectations
- Deep Industry Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of insurance and reinsurance, along with extensive knowledge of contract wording in the field of Property & Engineering.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills, high diligence, and the autonomy to tackle complex challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and the capability to guide junior colleagues effectively.
- Solid Educational Foundation: A university degree or equivalent in insurance training (CII or similar).
- Language Skills: Business proficiency in German and full professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
