Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

VIG Re is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. You will design and execute detailed test plans, maintain high test coverage, and collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver top-quality solutions. Your role will also involve promoting automated testing, identifying quality improvements, and providing clear QA reports. Your tasks

Perform rigorous QA and testing to maintain system stability, prevent errors, and ensure seamless application functionality.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve holistic testing strategies across the application lifecycle.
Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage.
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
Log, track, and report defects; assist in their resolution by working closely with development teams.
Conduct / coordinate integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
Maintain test documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal quality standards.
Ensure timely communication of test progress, results, and risks to project managers and stakeholders.

What we expect

Proven experience in quality assurance and software testing roles.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies. Skilled in planning and coordinating penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
Experience with test management tools and automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with defect tracking systems and agile development practices.
ISTQB certification or equivalent is an advantage.
University degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
Knowledge and experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry is preferred.

Fluent spoken and written English
