Senior Solution Architect

Your tasks

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and align solutions with long-term business goals. Manage overview of all systems and tools used across VIG Re.
• Architecture Design: Develop and document end-to-end solution architectures that address business requirements, integrating systems, applications, and platforms within the VIG Re application landscape.
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to provide technical guidance and ensure cohesive system design. 
• System Integration: Oversee the integration of internal and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility with industry standards (e.g., ACORD).
• Innovation: Foster continuous development environment, aligned with the opportunities and needs identified by architecture and analysts community. Identify solutions to leverage emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and blockchain to transform reinsurance processes.
• Interfaces/Integration Management: Architecture support of IT analyst when designing interfaces, design, model interfaces, landing zones and other integrations between systems. Manage/maintain middleware and integration services, provide detailed specifications. 
• Risk Management: Ensure solutions are designed with robust security and compliance measures to mitigate risks and meet regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Create detailed architecture diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation for proposed solutions. 

What we expect

• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with data standards and integration (e.g., APIs, ACORD, EDI).
• Familiarity with modeling languages such as ArchiMate/BPMN/UML/etc.. Proficiency in a modeling tool such as Sparx Enterprise Architect is a big plus.
• Ability to articulate the design with different audience, from developer, enterprise architect, data architect to product owner and business stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Knowledge of financial industry and regulatory environment, advantage is knowledge of insurance and reinsurance industry.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English
